The Essilor Vision Foundation in conjunction with Alcon Johns Creek Campus is recruiting volunteers to help with the free vision screening to be held at Peachtree Elementary School in Peachtree Corners. There are two ways to help: take the training to assist in the screening process and/or volunteer for one or more of the vision screening sessions to help move students through the process.
The vision screening training is free and covers different methods used by the Kids Vision for Life program to conduct vision screenings. There are two, two-hour training sessions to choose from: Wednesday, September 25 and Friday, September 27. To register for the volunteer training, click the link in the dates and times section. You can also sign up for the vision screening sessions for which you are available to volunteer at the same time.
Vision Screening Sessions At Peachtree Elementary will be Wednesday through Friday, October 2 -4, and October 10-11. Both trained and untrained Volunteers are needed to do the screening and to help move students into and out of screening areas. To register to volunteer to help go to the Essilor Vision Foundation volunteer hub. Doctors are also needed to conduct the exams. There is no cost for the screening or exams.
This is a joint partnership between the Alcon Foundation and the Essilor Vision Foundation. Essilor Vision Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Dallas, Texas. The Foundation strives to help people achieve better lives through better sight by creating and supporting activities that advance good vision and its benefits and offering special help to those who need it most.
